From Tetebatu, it is now possible to ascend Mount Rinjani to the Tetebatu Crater Rim on Sangkareang Mountain, which stands at 3,200 meters above sea level. This is the highest crater rim within the Rinjani National Park, offering stunning vistas of Segara Anak Lake and the Rinjani summit, particularly during sunrise and sunset.

Starting from Tetebatu Village in the morning, it's a 7-hour trek to the Tetebatu Crater Rim, followed by an overnight stay in a tent. The next morning, hikers can ascend to Gunung Kondo, which is 2.957 meters above sea level and the second highest peak in the Mount Rinjani National Park area, before returning to Tetebatu Village.
